In this spectacular show and Black History Month celebration, Grammy® Nominee Charles Tolliver updates and restages Monk’s seminal 1959 performance at Town Hall. With Stanley Cowell (piano), Victor Lewis (drums), Rufus Reed (bass) and the Thelonious Monk Orchestra. The celebration continues at Town Hall on Friday, February 27, 2009 when Jason Moran and orchestra perform his multi-media tribute to Monk.
