George and Al came out with Givin' It Up in 2006 and toured behind the album. Last year George headlined the Liberty Jazz Festival in Liberty State Park. Al just released Love Songs and can be seen at the Beacon Theatre, this Thursday, Valentines Evening, with special guest Najee.
DAVE KOZ, PATTI AUSTIN, SPYRO GYRA
Dave tore it up at the Beacon this past December when his Christmas show came to town. His new album, At the Movies Double Feature is due in stores next week. Look for DK and Friends performing at a Marquee Concert later this year. Patti Austin also tours with Dave, and has performed at many Marquee Concerts and Smooth Cruises. Spyro Gyra has been recording and peforming live since the mid 1970's. Originally a jazz rock fusion band, Spyro's live performances showcase exceptional musicianship and interplay. Last spring, Jay sat in with the Allman Brothers Band at the Beacon and blew the audience away with his solo on In Memory of Elizabeth Reed. Look for Spyro Gyra on this Summer's Smooth Cruises.
WAYMAN TISDALE, BONEY JAMES, CHRIS BOTTI
We're all thankful that Wayman is back to work. Most recently he was laying it down at the Dave Koz and Friends Christmas show this past December at the Beacon. Boney James most recent album Christmas Present features duets with Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, and Chante Moore. And Chris Botti's latest release Italia is in stores now.
