Not too long ago, in New York, there was a family known as the CD101.9 family. They would meet every summer on Jazz Wednesday at the World Trade Center Plaza, and on the Smooth Cruise, sailing the NY harbor.


The World Trade Center Plaza is gone, but the CD101.9 Smooth Cruise is very alive August 14th. With the first ever, CD101.9 Reunion Cruise.


See familiar faces and Relive some of the music, and visuals of the day in a specially prepared presentation by CD’s own Mike Farrell.

The Smooth Cruises are back on the Spirit of New York for the 2019 season!

The Spirit of New York hosted our Smooth Cruises from 1998 until 2013, and we are so excited to return this year after a five year absence. Cruises embark from Pier 61 at Chelsea Piers Piers for a two-hour cruise through the New York Harbor catching the amazing views of the New York City skyline, the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge among others.

There are four observation decks outside with lounge chairs and cocktail tables to enjoy the summer breeze and beautiful views. Inside are three climate controlled decks with oversized windows to catch all the views, multiple bars, full buffet, and the famous Smooth Cruise Dance Floor! And of course we present Iconic artists performing a full concert in this intimate setting.

TICKETING INFORMATION

  • Tickets are available online or by phone. The Smooth Cruise will have a box office on site during the shows.  There are no ticket sales or pick ups at Spirit of New York’s offices.

SEATING

We are offering three types of seated tickets:

  • Smooth Circle Preferred Seats – These are the best seats in the house! Ticketholders jump past the boarding line and sit in the best seats in the house for the show.

  • General Admission Reserved Seats –  Standard seating on either of the main decks where the artist is performing. 

  • General Admission – These tickets are for those who want a less expensive ticket and who might want to move around on the boat, dance on the dance floor, watch from the bar, and enjoy the outside decks. Ticketholders have access to all levels of the boat, with limited seating available on a first come first served basis on each level. Dining seating and tables for all of our general admission ticket holders are located on the lower level with no view of the band, however the show will be live streamed on CCTV.  

 

All tickets have seating. All ticket holders, including those with “General Admission” have access to all public decks and the dance floor, any available seating that isn’t reserved and all seating downstairs below the performance space. Food and beverage is not included with the ticket; there are multiple cash bar and buffet stations throughout the boat. The cruise ship is handicapped accessible.

CRUISE DEPARTURE & TRAVEL INFO

  • Cruise departs promptly at 6:30pm and 9:30pm. (Boarding begins approximately 5:30pm for the 6:30pm cruise and boarding approximately 9pm for the 9:30pm cruise — Note: Lines form early.) 

  • The Spirit of New York Cruise Ship departs from Pier 61 Chelsea Piers in NYC.
